"Tomorrow will be a very challenging day, given that this year's wildfire season is the most difficult in the last 20 years. According to the fire risk map, most of the country is at high or very high risk due to high temperatures and very strong winds reaching up to 7 Beaufort.
Attica, Boeotia, Evia, almost the entire Peloponnese, Lesvos, and Chios are in the orange zone. Therefore, in these areas, the Fire Department, all security forces, and local authorities are on high alert.
We must all demonstrate the same heightened readiness and responsibility to protect and safeguard ourselves from wildfires that can become uncontrollable within minutes."
