The MINISTRY OF CLIMATE CRISIS AND CIVIL PROTECTION is committed to making the website: https://civilprotection.gov.gr/ accessible, in accordance with the provisions of Law 4727/2020 (Government Gazette 184 A’ 23-09-2020), Chapter H’ “DIGITAL ACCESSIBILITY (INCORPORATION INTO GREEK LEGISLATION OF DIRECTIVE (EU) 2016/2102 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL, OF 26 OCTOBER 2016, ON THE ACCESSIBILITY OF THE WEBSITES AND MOBILE APPLICATIONS OF PUBLIC SECTOR BODIES)”, which incorporates Directive (EU) 2016/2102 into the national legal order, as in force.
This accessibility statement applies to the website https://civilprotection.gov.gr/
The present website https://civilprotection.gov.gr/ partially complies with the accessibility requirements of Article 39 of Law 4727/2020, as in force.
Specifically, the website incorporates the UserWay website accessibility widget, which is located in a visible position on every page and is powered by a dedicated accessibility server (offering a range of functions for use by persons with disabilities – including those with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments). With this widget, most accessibility issues for WCAG 2.1 Level AA are resolved.
This statement was prepared on 16-1-2023. The evaluation of the website’s compliance was carried out on the basis of the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and the WCAG 2.1 guidelines (Level A and Level AA), and was conducted:
• through a self-assessment carried out by the contractor responsible for the design and development of the website, and
• through the use of the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget tool.
The latest revision of the statement was carried out on 13-2-2024.
You can activate the accessibility menu of the website https://civilprotection.gov.gr/ by clicking on the menu icon that appears at a point around the page. Once you activate it, please wait a moment for it to load fully.
The Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection ensures the continuous improvement of the accessibility of the website, always aiming to guarantee equal and unhindered use by everyone, regardless of physical abilities or the technology they possess.
In a continuous effort to improve and resolve any accessibility issues, we regularly scan the website with the UserWay accessibility scanner in order to detect and correct any possible accessibility barriers on the website. Despite our efforts to make all pages and content on the website and the application fully accessible, some content may not yet be fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards.
