The operation concerns the procurement of one (1) Field Hospital, the which can be deployed immediately and quickly to alleviate the consequences at a local and/or regional level, following the occurrence of material damage to buildings and physical injuries to people from seismic activity, flooding or fire and/or exceptional cases of need from the occurrence of large-scale phenomena, such as the Covid-19 pandemic. It is a mobile hospital with the ability to provide healthcare, including the performance of emergency surgeries, as well as the possibility of a short hospitalization time. Its purpose is to provide primary and secondary healthcare to the population of its area of responsibility. It has the ability to be transported and relocated by road, air and sea, as well as the readiness to quickly deploy key departments, so as to receive health losses within a few hours at the final destination – the affected area.
